How to Prepare Yourself for
 a Reading with Chakrapani

To begin with, one need only determine their birth time and place, complete a Natal Request Form, and e-mail or fax it to our office. We will contact you within 24 to 48 hours to schedule your appointment with Chakrapani.

Our staff is ready to answer any questions you may have and to schedule your time with Chakrapani as soon, and as efficiently, as possible.

Everything you need in the way of forms or basic information is available on this website, but you are welcome to call at anytime if you have further questions.

Please note that we will be unable to hold an appointment time for you until you have sent our office your birth data, or scheduled a birth rectification (for those who do not have a reliable source for determining their birth time).

Chakrapani does his best to accommodate clients who need immediate attention because of urgent need or emergency situations. Otherwise, to secure an appointment at the most convenient time for your schedule, it is best to e-mail or call as early as possible. All readings of one half hour or longer are taped and given to you at the time of your reading, or mailed to you if your reading is via the telephone. Readings by phone are done on Chakrapani's personal line, reserved exclusively for that purpose. The number will be provided to you upon confirmation of your appointment.

For your convenience, the following are some suggestions to help you prepare for your reading with Chakrapani.

  1. Your first consultation with Chakrapani should be a Natal Reading.

If you are a new client, Chakrapani recommends that you begin with a Natal Reading. Even if you have had a Natal Reading previously with another astrologer, it is to your advantage to have a Natal Reading with Chakrapani before considering a Progression, Compatibility, or other kind of reading. Chakrapani´s Natal Reading provides a foundation for you to properly understand and benefit from other readings which focus on one area of your life, or address a future period of time. Although Chakrapani feels that it is in your best interest to proceed in this fashion, if you insist otherwise, he will accommodate your request.
  2. If you have had an astrological reading in the Western System, very likely your astrological signs will be different in the Vedic system that Chakrapani practices.

The Vedic system is based on the Sidereal Zodiac founded on the fixed stars called constellations, whereas the Western System is based on what is known as the Tropical Zodiac.

Some individuals say the two zodiacs represent a means of looking at the subject from two different perspectives, which are not necessarily contradictory, but observe phenomena from different points of view.

Though clients often ask Chakrapani about the two systems, he has not been eager to make comparisons as his experience is limited to the traditions and methodologies of Vedic Astrology. However, given that people continue to request information as to some of the differences in the two systems, Chakrapani has prepared a brief explaination of Eastern and Western Astrology which you can read by clicking here. 3. There is always time during your consultation to ask questions.

Every type of reading allows time for questions. The initial part of your reading will consist of Chakrapani addressing the subject while looking at your horoscope. Thereafter, in the second part of your reading, you will have an opportunity to ask questions.

Clients often enter a reading with questions in mind, but if not written down, they may forget them, and later feel disappointed for the missed opportunity. During your reading, Chakrapani will provide you with much information which may affect you in a myriad of ways, emotionally, intellectually, and so forth. In the process, clients have sometimes commented that they could not remember their questions. We suggest that you write them down even a day or two before your appointment while you have time to reflect and thoughtfully consider what your questions really are. Also, some clients like to take notes during their reading, and you are welcome to do so. You will be provided with a taped recording of your consultation in any event.
  4. You may send questions or other relevant information to Chakrapani.

Sometimes clients prepare their questions and e-mail or fax them prior to their appointment, which is certainly not necessary, but Chakrapani has said that it helps him to prepare for the session. If you have other information pertinent to your reading which you would like Chakrapani to review, you may send it to him in advance as well. It is best to send your material a few days ahead of your appointment, allowing him ample time to peruse it. If our office does not receive your questions or information at least 24 hours in advance, we cannot guarantee that Chakrapani will be able to review it before your appointment.
  5. Remember that Chakrapani can be interrupted!

If, at any time, you are confused or do not understand something that Chakrapani has said, you should always feel comfortable stopping him to ask for clarification. Sometimes during the course of a reading, he may reference an Indian or astrological term with which you are unfamiliar, or you may simply not understand some point he is making. Whatever the case may be, Chakrapani wants you to receive the full benefit of your reading, so you certainly want to understand everything he says. He enjoys your questions in any event, so you need not hesitate.

The above points address some of the questions that are typically brought to our attention, but you are welcome to call us at any time if you have anything further that you wish to discuss. Our office hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. We look forward to talking with you, and wish you well in your reading with Chakrapani.
